Banana Cake Recipe

Banana Cake Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 cup Butter, softened
  • 1  1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1  lb Banana - mashed
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1  1/2 cup Flour
  • FROSTING
  • 2 tablespoon Butter - softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 table Lemon Juice

Banana Cake Recipe
Time: 1 hour
Serves: 10

Banana Cake Recipe Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350° then grease & flour a loaf
    pan.
  • Mix sour cream & baking soda in a bowl then leave aside for 5 minutes.
  • Beat butter, sugar and eggs together then stir into
    sour cream.
  • Combine banana in well and add vanilla and
    flour and mix well for 5 minutes.
  • Bake in prepared pan and preheated oven for 1 hour.
  • Leave for 10 minutes in pan to cool then transfer to wire rack.
  • Mix butter and sugar until creamy then beat in
    milk and lemon juice until spreadable. Frost top
    and sides of cake.
Banana Cake Recipe Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time is 1 hour.
  • Store in a airtight cake tin in a cool place.
Banana Cake Recipe Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Fresh Cream or Double Cream.
  • Serve with Tea or Coffee.
